Wellbeing

At Maltman’s Green, we have a dedicated Deputy Head Pastoral who oversees our pupils’ wellbeing, ensuring that we create a nurturing, caring environment that supports the individual social and emotional well-being of our girls. We ensure they feel safe and secure, are encouraged to do their best and know that they are valued. We promote and strengthen this care through crucial, positive relationships, and strong communication links with parents and carers.

We strive to ensure that all our girls are articulate, hold a positive view of themselves and are ready to approach the future with self-confidence and belief. Our goal is to best prepare our girls for the journey ahead by teaching crucial transferrable skills: the importance of teamwork; listening and supporting others; thinking through problems with a critical and analytical mind; adaptability and the importance of risk taking; emotional resilience; and self-belief. Our girls need to be equipped to deal with every eventuality, and having a positive view of themselves will be paramount.

We subscribe to Tooled Up Education to provide holistic support to our school community in all areas of family life. Find out more.

I wanted to express my deep felt thanks for the care my daughter has had since nursery.  Having three children I have experienced a number of schools, but there is something very special about Maltman’s.  My daughter has grown up into a little girl who is happy in her own skin and has oodles of self-belief and confidence.  She is quirky at times, but Maltman’s has embraced this and allowed her to become an individual within a safe environment where she has flourished. The pastoral care and sense of well-being at the school is second to none and she has thrived in this kind and caring environment.
