11th April 23

Maltman’s Green School, a private school in Buckinghamshire, is looking back on a busy and productive Spring Term. From new initiatives to new milestones, it’s been an exciting period of growth and development for the school and its students. In this end-of-term update, we take a look at some of the highlights from the past three months.

School Roundup

Maltman’s Green School has had a busy Spring term filled with amazing milestones and accomplishments. This term saw the exciting expansion of Little Malties pre-school provision, giving more nursery opportunities to girls in Gerrards Cross, The Chalfonts, Beaconsfield and surrounding areas. Little Malties provides an incredibly important foundation for our young pupils, with experienced, caring practitioners and a nurturing school life.

This term also saw several unforgettable trips and events, including Year 2’s visit to St Paul’s Cathedral and Year 4’s production the Lion King. There were also a number of fun activities within the school, such as Book week, Science and Eco weeks, Interhouse Poetry Dance and Cross Country competitions, Pancake Races and Easter Bonnet Parades. Our musicians saw great success in a huge variety of instruments, both in performance and exams and the Spring Concert was a highlight for all involved or attending. We also enjoyed a Google Festival Trip a trip to the Commonwealth Service in Westminster Abbey, our annual Senior Schools Information Evening and the FOMG Film and Quiz Nights.

The announcement of the redevelopment of the Pre-Prep playground was met with much enthusiasm in February and we were also delighted to launch our first 2 episodes of the Future is Purple Podcast, giving all our pupils a voice.

Academic achievements

We’re proud of the great academic achievements of our girls this term and look forward to seeing what the next term brings! Not only did our Year 6 girls receive a superb 85% qualification rate for the Bucks 11+, but they were also offered places at some of the most prestigious private schools in Buckinghamshire, and the UK, both independent and Grammar. We also had a successful Senior Schools Information Evening for Years 2-5. All our girls, regardless of age group, have achieved a tremendous amount in this spring term and we can’t wait to see what they achieve in the next!

This term, we also invited Year 6 girls to have Tea with Mrs G. This weekly initiative, allows all girls to have the opportunity to raise concerns, questions or ideas with Mrs Gaynor, our Deputy Head – Pastoral.
