Catering

We place great importance on healthy eating and wholesome food. Highly skilled chefs from our catering partner, Thomas Franks, take advantage of freshly sourced, local ingredients to cook authentic, delicious cuisine from around the world. Menus are changed regularly to take advantage of plentiful seasonal produce and spark interest in new dishes.

We find that beautifully presented food is a real enticement to try new ideas and flavours. The chef’s special and international themed days introduce a wide variety of dishes for the girls to sample.

This Week’s Menu

Breakfast Club

Girls in our breakfast club are given the daily choice of cereals, toast, fresh fruit, dried fruit and yoghurt alongside a daily special including freshly baked pastries, fluffy American pancakes with maple syrup, toasted bagels with cream cheese, locally sourced pork and herb sausages, waffles with honey, scrambled eggs and more. Find out more about Breakfast Club.

Snacks

The girls’ mid-morning snack consists of fresh fruit such as melon, pineapple, grapes, bananas, oranges and apples as well as sweet and/or savoury treats such as mini crudités, brownie petits-fours baked on-site, cheese twists straight from the oven and honey flapjack fingers.

Lunch

At lunchtime, the girls are given a choice of three hot dishes, one of which will always be vegetarian, as well as pasta or baked potato alternated each day. There is also fresh soup on offer and a salad bar full of nutritious extras including crudités, cold meats, cheese and mixed salads of fragrant cous cous, pasta, potato and more.

For dessert there is always a traditional sponge pudding such as fruity peach and pear crumble with custard, sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and lemon and poppy seed sponge with fresh cream. For the lighter choice, girls can have small dessert pots such as vanilla panacotta, chocolate and coconut mousse, strawberry Eton mess, fruit jelly, or lemon curd cheesecake. There is, of course, always a selection of sliced and whole fresh fruit to cleanse the palate.

After School Club

Girls who join our After School Club from Nursery up to Year 2 are given a healthy meal with choices such as jacket potato, succulent beef meatballs, herb vegetable ratatouille, cheesy pizza and mixed salads. For dessert they are offered treats such as jelly pots, fresh fruit salad and decadent fudge brownie.

Girls in the Prep School are given a light snack consisting of hot and cold options on alternate days, such as noddle soup, rich tomato pasta, paninis, french cheese and tomato pizza slices, and pitta pockets with a variety of fillings. We also have sliced and whole fruit available for all girls as well as juice and cordial. Find out more about After School Club.

Allergens

Our catering team from Thomas Franks have excellent allergen management procedures in place. Kitchen procedures are robust and risk is managed effectively through our food safety management system which addresses risks such as cross-contamination and incorrect menu labelling. In the rare event of a complaint, all are logged, investigated and communicated to parents as expeditiously as possible, with the girls’ safety and wellbeing our number one priority.
