Charity & Outreach

Charitable Giving

Thanks to the enormous generosity of girls and parents we raise an amazing amount for charity each year. We are keen to give our girls an understanding of a variety of different charitable needs and encourage a focus on foreign aid, environment, local community and children.

Throughout the year we run fundraising events including nativity and other performances, harvest festival, Comic Relief, Children in Need and the Poppy Appeal. Additionally, the girls undertake fundraising initiatives within their Houses, fundraising for one of our featured charities, and The Friends of Maltman’s Green are also keen fundraisers, hosting a variety of fundraising events throughout the year.

Community Outreach

Our girls enjoy visiting local care homes, such as Rock House and Mulberry Court, to perform Christmas carols and music concerts throughout the year. The enthusiasm and kindness of our girls is always well received. Additionally, our Chamber Choir is invited to an external Christmas concert to raise funds for the charity Third Hope.

Benefiting from excellent facilities we feel it is our duty to share them with the local community. To that end we welcome local primary school, St.Joseph’s, to use our indoor, heated pool, as well as Chalfont Otters, the Amersham Swimming Club, and also host the IAPS regional trials and other local fixtures. We also run holiday camps and sports fixtures on site for the benefit of our girls and children from other local schools.

With a selection of expert educationalists at our fingertips we are delighted to welcome Year 11 and Year 12 students here for work experience, provide experience for teachers and prospective teachers looking to re/enter the teaching environment and send our specialist teachers for training sessions at other schools/universities. We also share learning and resources with local schools and occasionally host the safeguarding forum for Bucks County Council.
