Towards the end of term the Year 6 girls enjoyed a special French themed afternoon, immersing themselves in everything French! They came into school dressed in French themed clothes and showed great creativity with their outfits!
The afternoon began with a French picnic in the sunshine. The girls made their own French baguette from cheese and meat platters and enjoyed tucking into the cake decorated with fruit and cream to look like the French flag.
After their picnic, the girls watched a presentation on French culture and art. This included references to French history, architecture, literature, art and a few fun surprises!
To finish off, they enjoyed a quiz based on the presentation before a game of ‘beret’ outside in the sunshine.
What a fun way to bring their French learning at Maltman’s to a close.
