Rainbows of Love and Thanks

Children up and down the country have been creating rainbow pictures to put in their front windows as a way of showing appreciation to our amazing key workers at this difficult time. We would like to share with you some of the designs our girls have on display:

Community Initiatives

Lots of the girls have been raising money for NHS charities during this time and they have had fun getting sponsored for a variety of challenges. Special mention goes to Mia in Year 5 who organised an collection of supplies for the Chiltern Food Bank. After hearing on the radio one day that food banks were in need of supplies she got in touch with friends and neighbours to see if others could help. Everyone was amazingly generous and they got a great haul of non-perishable goods to drop off. Well done Mia for your wonderful initiative.

A big well done also goes to Corina in Year 6 for litter picking when our on her daily walks. Corina even wears her Maltman’s coat – such a wonderful ambassador for the School. Thank you, Corina, for performing this mucky, but vital and much appreciated job!

Toilet Roll Challenge

Girls in Nursery and Year 2 took part in the ‘Toilet Roll Challenge’ (featured on the BBC & Sky news towards the beginning of lockdown) in which the girls play a game of remote catch. What a great way for the girls to take part in something together and feel part of a team. Year 2 teacher, Miss Gibson-James, even got involved!
