Poppy Appeal Accolade

26th February 20

We are delighted to have been praised by the Royal British Legion’s Head of the Poppy Appeal, Shane Crowhurst, for our fundraising dedication and achievements over the years. Out of the whole of the UK, Maltman’s Green has come to the attention of Mr Crowhurst who has now awarded us a framed ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ “for the excellent work carried out in support of the poppy appeal”.

Girls welcomed Major General Tim Inshaw (Branch President of the Gerrards Cross Royal British Legion) into school on Monday 24 February to present the certificate and to say a few words on behalf of the poppy appeal.

Maltman’s Green supports many different charities, fundraising through harvest donations, dress-up days, school fairs and more. It was wonderful for the girls to receive appreciation from the Royal British Legion for their hard work in driving the fundraising efforts around school during the Poppy Appeal. Representatives from Maltman’s Green also attend the annual Gerrards Cross Remembrance Day service in November, laying a wreath on behalf of the School.

Thanks goes to the Royal British Legion for this wonderful accolade and we look forward to finding the perfect spot to display our prized certificate.
