Pancake Day

25th February 20

What a busy pancake day we’ve had! It all started this morning with Early Years pancake races. The girls were very excited to show off their excellent flipping skills (much better than some of the teachers!) and were ably assisted by some fantastic Year 2 girls. As well as having fun, it was all about teamwork, and the girls were fantastic at encouraging and supporting one another.

A little later it was the turn of girls in the Pre-Prep. They took part in a fabulous pancake obstacle race, scrambling through tunnels and stepping in and out of hula hoops, all while managing to keep their pancake in the pan. What a hoot!

At lunchtime, the girls enjoyed delicious homemade pancakes with a variety of toppings and it’s safe to say they went down a treat!

Finally, it was time for the Prep girls to show their pancake flipping skills with a House relay race for all girls to participate in. They flipped, hopped and ran up and down the sports courts, cheering on their teammates and having heaps of fun. First place went to Pankhurst. Well done girls!

Whether you’re a sweet or savoury fan, we hope you enjoy getting messy in the kitchen this evening as you flip your pancakes!
