Last year was the centenary of the end of the First World War and our local Memorial Centre hosted a wonderful exhibition featuring stories of local men and women caught up in the conflict. We have been lucky enough to receive this exhibition on loan from the Gerrards Cross Parish Council and our girls have been quite taken by the varying accounts.
These personal stories have helped the girls to relate to the individuals, appreciating what life must have been like at war over 100 years ago.
We are immensely grateful to the Gerrards Cross Parish Council for kindly loaning the exhibition and helping to bring these stories to life.
