Performing Arts at Maltman's - Drama, Music & Dance Facilities

At Maltman’s Green, we believe the Performing Arts are an essential part of every girl’s education.

Through drama, music, and dance, our pupils develop confidence, creativity, and self-expression, while learning valuable life skills such as teamwork, communication and leadership. From their earliest years, our girls are encouraged to explore their creative potential, with numerous opportunities to take to the stage and showcase their talents.

Our state-of-the-art facilities include a purpose-built performing arts centre, with a performance space, tiered theatre seating, audio visual facilities, and a dance studio, providing the perfect environment for our girls to immerse themselves in the world of performing arts.

Whether it’s through weekly drama lessons, LAMDA, music ensembles, or dance classes, every girl is encouraged to find her voice and discover her passion.

Music

Music is at the heart of our school, with a rich programme of individual and group lessons led by specialist teachers. Girls can choose from a wide range of instruments and are invited to join one of our many musical ensembles, including choirs, orchestras and bands. Regular performances, both within the school and in the wider community, give our girls the chance to shine in front of an audience and further develop their confidence.

Drama

Our drama productions are a highlight of the school calendar, with girls throughout the school participating in exciting and imaginative performances. From large-scale productions to class plays, these events allow our pupils to develop their acting skills and experience the thrill of performing in front of an audience. Whether they dream of becoming a West End star or simply enjoy the fun and camaraderie of being on stage, there is something for everyone.

Dance

Dance is another vibrant aspect of life at Maltman’s. With a dedicated dance studio and a variety of classes, including ballet, street, musical theatre and contemporary, our girls have every opportunity to express themselves through movement.
