A unique advantage of Maltman’s Green is that, as one of the few schools in Buckinghamshire not partnered with the Bucks 11+ system, we have the freedom to offer tailored 11+ preparation and support that other schools cannot. While our girls still take the Bucks 11+, this independence enables us to provide your daughter with a personalised approach, ensuring she is fully equipped to succeed in both grammar and independent school exams.

Every other year, we host a Senior School Evening, open to all parents from Year 2 onwards. This invaluable event invites representatives from both independent and grammar schools, giving you the opportunity to explore your options and have in-depth conversations about what each school can offer. To complement this, we provide a Senior Schools Handbook, which includes a checklist, guidance on choosing the right school, and key milestones throughout the process.

From Year 3 onwards, we begin preparing your daughter for online assessments with CAT4 assessments and progress tests. In Year 4, we introduce optional revision packs, formal timed papers, and weekly verbal reasoning (VR) and non-verbal reasoning (NVR) lessons. In Year 5, we continue to build on this with timed VR and NVR assessments. By Year 6, our preparation focuses on off-site mock assessments, interview skills training, and 1:1 mock interviews. We also offer small group scholarship tutorials, with specialist support for scholarship candidates in sports, music, art, and drama.
