A very warm welcome to Maltman’s Green School. Inspired by our heritage and driven by a pioneering spirit, we empower every girl to flourish.

I am Ashmi Morjaria, the proud Headmistress of Maltman’s Green School, and I am delighted to welcome you to our wonderful community.

There is a particular power in a girls-only prep school. Here, every seat at the table is already hers — she plays every part in the school play, captains every team, and is never once told a subject or an ambition isn’t for her. By the time she leaves us at the end of Year 6, she has had a seven-year dress rehearsal for the real world: her opinions have mattered, her ambitions have been taken seriously, and she has learned to back herself. She leaves us not just academically ready, but genuinely aspirational — with senior school options, and with many doors open to her.

Here at Maltman’s, we believe that when one girl rises, we all rise too. When one girl finds her courage, or is kind to someone she’s never met, the effect doesn’t stop with her — it spreads through the whole school. That belief has run through Maltman’s Green since Beatrice Chambers founded us in 1918, and it runs through everything we do today.

From the moment your daughter joins us, she is known as an individual — her strengths recognised, her areas for development thoughtfully supported. It is this personalised approach that delivers academic excellence: this year, we celebrated 17 senior school scholarships and a 78% 11+ pass rate.

But we believe education extends far beyond academics. Girls educated in girls-only schools consistently grow in the confidence to lead, to speak, and to take up space — and our extensive co-curricular programme is built to grow exactly that. Whether she is designing and racing our Goblin Cars or making her case in the Cicero Debate Club, every girl is challenged to think creatively, collaborate, and express herself with conviction.

Our small class sizes and exceptional facilities, set within our beautiful 12-acre campus, provide an inspiring environment in which to learn and thrive — from our six-lane indoor swimming pool, dance studio and theatre, to our STEAM lab, art studio and woodland school.

A strong sense of community lies at the heart of the school. From house charity events to delivering cookies to members of our local community, our girls learn that small acts of kindness ripple outward — and that each of them has a role to play in lifting others up. We believe a happy girl is a successful girl, which is why we dedicate real time within our timetable to wellbeing and pastoral care, nurturing the self-belief and resilience our girls carry with them for life.
