The 100 Club Centenary Tree has at last been unveiled!
Our Centenary Tree honors all those who join our 100 Club and pledge £100 a year for £10 years to our Bursary fund. Governor, Mrs Starrs, gifted the tree to Maltman’s Green which was handmade by bespoke blacksmiths from steel (trunk and branches) and classical copped (leaves). Each 100 Club member may choose the name of the person they wish to be engraved on their leaf. The tree is designed to endure to generations, ensuring their generosity is always remembered.
All girls in the Key Stage Two attended the unveiling ceremony in which Mrs Pardon and Mrs Starrs said a few words about the purpose of the 100 Club and how special the tree is. It was Mrs Starrs who came up with the idea of a tree to symbolise the growth that the girls go through at Maltman’s Green.
We hope that over time our tree canopy will grow as more people join our 100 Club.
