Chamber Choir Performs at St Mary Magdalene Church Charity Concert

12th December 17

A huge thank you to the 14 members of the Chamber Choir who performed beautifully on Friday, giving up their evening and battling the cold weather (and tricky parking situation!) to sing alongside professional musicians as part of a fundraising concert for the charity Third Hope.

The girls sang Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Christmas Gold, two songs featured at the Senior Carol Service on Wednesday.

They behaved very well, and organised themselves quickly and maturely, singing very well despite the choir being less than half their normal size. They were very kindly rewarded for their efforts with handmade gingerbread biscuits and mince pies!

Thank you also to Mrs Hancocks who stepped in to play the piano to allow Miss Guy to direct the girls.
The girls should feel very proud of themselves, bringing some festive cheer to this worthwhile cause. We also hope they were inspired by the incredible singing of the professional singers who performed a variety of solos and quartets.
