Tormead Gym Competition

15th November 17

On Monday 6 November, we took our Y4, 5 and 6 A and B Squad girls to Tormead School in Guildford for an Invitational Gymnastics Competition.

A total of 29 girls were involved along with a great group of parents who helped with transport and supporting the girls at the event. There was a lot of excitement in the Junior Gym getting all the girls ready in their leotards and with a little bit of glitter spray before the competition, the girls were ready to go.

Every girl performed their voluntary floor routine, which the coaches Miss Owen, Miss Timmins and Mrs Charafeddine have been working tirelessly on over the last few weeks. There were many great performances for the judges; one of which was the head judge for ISGA.

The girls also performed 2 vaults each. It’s always a little strange vaulting in a different space and with different equipment, but the girls did a marvellous job.

At the end of the competition the girls were invited upstairs for a match tea and then marched in ready to hear the results. There were separate competitions and medals for the A and B Squads.
