Year 6 Willow Workshop

14th November 17

This term the whole of Year 6 participated in a two day Art Willow Workshop led by the Somerset Willow artist Stefan Jennings. He travelled up from Somerset with freshly cut willow, showed the girls some basic weaving skills and they were soon working on their own sculptures. The weather was perfect and everyone had lots of fun.

The finished creatures are now on display around the Purple Block.

Do look out for “HARRY” who is a 4 year old pig whose favourite food is nuts. His hobbies are watching people have fun, eating and sorting out friendship problems. He can tell if a person is good or bad at a glance, but struggles to tell the difference between a stone and a nut! He was made by Holly 6S, Thea 6S, Larissa 6A, Millie 6S and Shaina 6S. Great work girls!

Look out for the names and characters of the other willow creations who are now living around the school grounds!
