Year 1 have been learning all about Little Red Hen and farming methods used in the past. We have had lots of fun learning how to make bread and have looked at instruction writing.
To finish off our ‘Bread Week’, Belinda the Chef demonstrated how to make dough. All the girls had a go at making their own ‘Signature Bake’ using pumpkin seeds and olives to decorate. We had a huge variety of shapes, including plaits, swirls, bunnies, an octopus and even a caterpillar! We got to try a little bit before Golden Time and we all took our own creations home.
Our ‘Star Baker’ goes to Belinda for letting the Year 1 girls loose with the dough!
