Maltman’s Belles Perform at Chalfont St Peter Feast Day

30th June 17

On Saturday 24 June, the Maltman’s Belles performed once again on the main stage at the Chalfont St Peter Feast Day celebration. This is the fourth time they have performed and are becoming an annual feature at the event!

Despite some rather strong gusts of wind blowing music over (very professionally dealt with by Haniya and extra help from Mrs Aarons!), the girls performed very well, playing a 20 minute set of various pieces they have been learning over the past year. They ended on one of their favourites – Yankee Doodle – which they play twice in a row, the first time at a nice, steady pace, and then repeating at a super fast tempo!

A huge thank you to the girls who gave up part of their Saturday morning to represent the school as part of the Senior Handbell team, but also an extra special mention to Alice Aarons and Matilda Davis who stepped in at the last moment to fill a few gaps in the team.
