A huge well done to the Belles who behaved and performed very maturely at the Summer Fair on Wednesday night, despite missing three members of the team and dealing with some potentially strong gusts of wind as they performed outside.
This is the third year the ensemble have been invited to perform and it is always an honour to bring something a little bit different to the musical element of the local fair. They played several pieces including traditional American and English folk song arrangements and ending with a rousing rendition of Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance.
After the Summer concert next week, their final performance of the year will be at the Feast Day celebrations on Gold Hill Common on Saturday 24th June, where they will be playing a 20 minute set on the main stage. We hope to see you there!
