London Irish Rugby Match Day Experience

3rd March 17

On 25 February 2017 nine girls from Years 4 and 5 met at school in our PE kits ready to go on our trip to Leighton Park School for a tag rugby coaching session, we were all very excited.

We got into the minibus and when we got there we had a fun two hours of training activities with our London Irish coach Joe. We played lots of fun activities and we finished off playing a tag rugby match against each other and we all thought it was brilliant!

After the training we went to see London Irish play London Scottish at the Madejski stadium. We started with a Q&A session with the players where lot of kids were eager to ask questions, afterwards we got autographs and photos with all the players.

Before the second half we formed a guard of honour on the pitch for the players where we all waved flags. We watched the rest of the match in box number 18 where we all enjoyed the game which London Irish won 29-20.

A big thank you to Mrs Pardon, Miss Clarke and my dad Craig for a fantastic day which we all enjoyed.
