Year 3 Roman History Workshop Day

8th February 17

On Wednesday 25 January, Year 3 experienced a very exciting Roman Day! The girls arrived at school in the splendour of their Roman costumes – they all looked fantastic and this set the scene for a great day.

The day was led by Dan Shadrake, an expert on Roman history, and the girls were very excited to learn that he is a regular on the Horrible Histories programmes and even worked on the Gladiator film!

Throughout the day, Year 3 learnt many new facts about the Romans, completed a challenging quiz, and got to look at artefacts from the time and try on replica Roman amour and weapons. The girls had a truly brilliant day and Dan was so impressed by their enthusiasm. We are now looking forward to finding out even more about the Romans for the rest of term.
