U10 Netball Tournament at Queen Anne’s, Caversham

8th February 17

A sunny but brisk start to the day as the U10 netball squad met up at Queen Anne’s School for their annual tournament on Saturday 4 February. 16 schools were present and we were put into mixed sections for the first round.

We had mixed results during this round winning, losing and drawing, playing a total of 6 matches. Our results put us in the Plate competition in the second round. Even though we lost our first game, we picked ourselves up and played positively, using our tactics more effectively. Our passing was sharper and shooting more accurate enabling us to win the next 5 matches.

We finished 2nd out of 14 schools, so very well done to the team for a great morning of netball (and, of course, the bacon butties were a hit as much energy needed replacing!).
