After a very exciting day in school following a lovely Christmas lunch and then House parties, the Year 6 members of Chamber Choir filled both of the school minibuses and travelled round the corner to Gerrards Cross Golf Club. They had been invited to sing at the annual Ladies Golf Christmas dinner evening, singing a variety of songs that they had performed recently at the Carol Service.
The girls were very professional, singing in unfamiliar surroundings and singing without anyone directing them (as Miss Guy played the piano), but did a brilliant job and received plenty of applause from the audience.
They were also lucky enough to receive some chocolate each, whilst the Golf Ladies also generously donated towards the Thames Valley Air Ambulance charity that we collected for at the Carol Services last week. Thank you to Mrs Loader and Mrs Glazebrook for accompanying Miss Guy with the Choir and being on photo duty!
One more Chamber Choir event on Friday this week, and then the girls will earn a very well-deserved rest!
