This week the girls in Year 3 began the autumn term with a wonderful visit to Shortenills Environmental Centre in Chalfont St Giles, where they rolled up their sleeves and immersed themselves in nature.
The day opened with an array of outside group activities that displayed to the girls the importance of working as a team whilst they enjoyed themselves. The Centre did a fantastic job of giving the girls a fresh and fun take on the value of communicating together to achieve a common goal.
The afternoon held more excitement in store as everyone headed into the woods to embrace the challenge of finding and identifying mini-beasts. The groups of girls used the information provided by the Centre to differentiate between the diverse types of animals that they found.
