Bursaries
Maltman’s Green School Trust Limited is a registered charity. The School relies on the fees from parents to meet the whole of its operating costs as it does not have the benefit of an endowment fund to provide any part of its income. In line with current legislation, Maltman’s Green is committed to demonstrating that it provides Public Benefit. We also believe that it is educationally beneficial to all to widen access to the education we offer.
The School is offering a limited number of means-tested bursaries awarded according to need, up to a maximum of 100%, for girls entering the school in Reception and Year 1. Families with a relevant annual income of less than £15,000 would warrant a bursary for full fee remission. Levels of financial assistance above this figure will be adjusted in line with income. It is not likely that a bursary would be awarded to a family where relevant annual income exceeds £45,000. In the case of a divorce or separation, both parents will be required to complete financial statements. Bursaries are financed by the School and the Bursary Fund.
Parents who are interested in applying for bursaries for September 2011 entry need to request a Bursary Application Pack and should be aware of the timing of the bursary application process:
31st January 2011 – Final date for submission of bursary application.
28th March 2011 – Date by which offer of bursary will be made.
15th April 2011 - Final date for acceptance of place and bursary
Once a bursary award has been made, for the following year and each subsequent year there will be an annual review before the 31st March to confirm the level of award.
Bursaries may be available for year groups other than Reception and Year 1 if existing bursaries have not been taken up.
