Day Visits
During their time at Maltman’s Green the girls are taken on a number of day visits to a wide variety of locations. The visits are designed to link with course work. They expand each pupil’s knowledge and understanding through a range of practical and cultutal experiences.
- The girls go to The Living Rainforest in Berkshire to explore how the rainforests work and why they matter to us.
- They have a visit to the Roald Dahl Museum to increase their enthusiasm to read his books and to be inspired to be creative in their own writing.
- Hampton Court gives the girls an experience of a beautiful palace that was central to many historic events in medieval times.
- At the Globe Theatre in London the girls attend a workshop in Shakespeare’s World specially designed to help KS 2 students in their appreciation of the world’s greatest playwright.
- Girls from Year 1 to Year 5 visit the Mop End Field Study Centre. This enriches their appreciation of our local fauna and flora and links in with both KS1 and KS2 studies
