Acts of Hope Assembly
Acts of Hope “Thank you” Assembly by 3C
Six girls in 3C welcomed Mr Willetts, the founder of the Acts of Hope charity, to assembly today. Year 3 said thank you to all those who had given money at the Carol Service last term for the Acts of Hope Charity which they had been learning about in Geography and fundraising for.
3C explained that Mr Willetts had come to speak to each Year 3 class to tell them about life for the children who attend Acts of Hope School in Bangaluru (Bangalore). The girls shared with the rest of the school some photos and details of Prajwal’s life. Prajwal is a five year old boy who lives with his parents and brother in a house smaller than any girl in the school’s bedroom. The girls also shared photos of the students of the Acts of Hope School dressed proudly in the cardigans and sweatshirts that we have donated from our old uniform stock.
3C also shared the news that the school had raised a fantastic £856.02 from the carol service. Thank you to all the parents who contributed.
