School Information - Admissions & Fees
Maltman’s Green is an academically non-selective school. The admissions procedures are there to ensure that every girl joining the school can benefit from the environment offered.
Entry is open to any girl aged 3 to 11 whom it is felt would benefit from being educated at the school, whose needs can be met and whose attendance would not put any other pupil at a disadvantage. There are formal entry points at Nursery (32 girls) and Reception (22 additional girls) and Year 1 (6 additional girls). From Year 2 upwards, places are occasional and subject to availability. All pupils are required to complete an assessment process appropriate to their age.
If interested in Maltman’s Green as a school for their daughter, we recommend that parents visit the school and meet the Headmistress. There is no substitute for seeing our girls hard at work and play and being able to discuss any queries in person.
Registration is the next step. Girls registered to join in Nursery and Reception are invited for a short assessment session in January. These sessions are very relaxed and we find that the girls always leave wanting to come back. Girls joining the school from Year 1 to Year 6 are invited for assessment on an individual basis.
